SEIT Teacher - Queens, Bronx, and Westchester options

King's Education Services, PLLC, is an approved NYS agency provider of Special Education and Related Services. We are approved to provide Special Education Itinerant Services (SEIT) for students, ages 3 - 5 years. Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) provide direct specialized individual or group instruction and indirect services to preschool students, with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Our Agency provides services for students in the Westchester School District and NYC Bronx and Queens Counties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide individualized or small group instruction

  • One-to-one assistance to students classified as having  learning disabilities, behavioral issues, or needing special education assistance.

  • Provide indirect services to preschoolers with IEPs.

  • Traveling to different schools or homes to provide different levels of educational support to students in need.

  • Discuss student progress with their teachers, meet with their parents, and assess students in a classroom setting, in order to develop strategies to address students’ education needs.

  • Visit students' homes when they are unable to attend schools or need additional support in the home environment.

Education/Experience:

A NYS public school teachers certificate, Birth to 2 years, with or without bilingual extension.

  • Public school teacher

  • NY Special Education Teacher/Certification Birth - 2 years (0 - 2 years)

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: competitive rates based on experience

Schedule:

  • Flexible work schedule based on student needs

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Reliable commuting to Bronx, Queens, or Westchester County locations 

Willingness to travel:

  • 100% (Required)
