Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer for our client in Pearland, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, as well as the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Machinist will ensure that all parts meet quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and production schedules.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
  • Program CNC machines using GibbsCAM programming software to create precise parts.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining processes.
  • Experience with programming CNC machines, including CAM programming skills.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for design purposes.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment (certification preferred).
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools for assembly and adjustment tasks.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges.
