Coulee Physical Therapy is a Private Physical Therapist owned outpatient clinic in La Crosse, WI. Two clinic locations: on the south side of La Crosse on Mormon Coulee Road, and also a treatment room at Three Rivers Performance on St. Andrew Street in La Crosse, WI
Role Description
At Coulee Physical Therapy we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to athletes and active individuals of all levels. Our team is passionate about helping patients recover, perform at their best, and prevent injuries. We are currently seeking an energetic, personable, and dedicated Sports Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat sports-related injuries and conditions, developing personalized treatment plans for each patient.
Work closely with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective rehabilitation and return-to-play strategies.
Provide hands-on therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to promote recovery and enhance performance.
Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and strategies to maintain peak physical condition.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
Foster strong relationships with patients, providing ongoing motivation and support throughout their recovery process.
Participate in community outreach, including sports events, workshops, and injury prevention seminars.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent.
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Certification or experience in sports rehabilitation, manual techniques such as dry needling and IASTM preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills—outgoing, approachable, and empathetic.
Ability to connect with athletes, motivate them, and create a positive rehabilitation experience.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Experience with sports-specific assessments, functional movement testing, and injury prevention techniques.
Passion for working with a diverse patient population, from amateur athletes to professional competitors.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ambition in the field of physical therapy and sports rehab.

This is a prn or part time position at Coulee Physical Therapy, LLC in La Crosse, WI, mostly seeing high school and college level athletes at a renowned training facility - Three Rivers Performance. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing patient evaluations, creating treatment plans, and guiding patients through therapeutic exercises. You will work with a diverse group of patients to improve their physical mobility and quality of life.
Ideal candidate wants to branch out from their day job, and is excited to work with athletes. You may be able to keep a regular full time position and still moonlight for Coulee Physical Therapy. Primarily need gym coverage Monday and Wednesdays from 5-8 pm. And every other Saturday morning. As you build a caseload you may work into more regular part time position of 20+ hours per week.
Pay is commensurate on experience and the right person will be awarded a handsome hourly rate. For the right person, there is much potential for advancement. A successful fit will build a following and caseload, and work themselves into a full time position
