Metro Esports is excited to offer freelance, program-based opportunities for passionate instructors across tech-education, esports, and STEM. These roles are essential in our mission to integrate esports and gaming with an experiential and interdisciplinary approach to education. As a Metro STEM Instructor, you will be at the forefront of educational sessions, workshops, camps, courses, classes, and more. We offer programs such as:

  • Minecraft & Code, Roblox & Code (Lua), Game Design in Unreal Engine, Unity Game Design, JavaScript, Python, Content Creation, Graphic Design, Esports Business, Build-a-Computer, and more.

We create access by understanding how to engage all demographics within the gaming space, then leveragee that knowledge to craft experiences that welcome them and cultivate their talents. We build bridges by harvesting the passions those communities have for esports to introduce them to the power of careers in STEM. We then help them gain the skills needed to enter those fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction in one or more STEM subjects across a variety of different formats (camps, workshops, courses, scholastic programs, etc)
  • Teach courses and lead programs such as Minecraft & Code (JavaScript), Roblox & Code (Lua), Game Design in Unreal Engine, Intro to Content Creation, Animation, Graphic Design, Programming in Python, Esports Business, Build-a-Computer, and more.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups ranging from Grade 3 to 12.
  • Collaborate in curriculum development and refinement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in STEM and esports education.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Coding, Game Design, Esports, Minecraft, Roblox, Computer Science, Livestreaming/Broadcast Production, Building Computers
  • Experience in teaching or instructing, preferred, in a related field.
  • Passion for gaming, esports, and education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds and age groups.

Compensation:

  • Tech/STEM Instruction Hours: $40/hr
  • Curriculum Development Hours: $20/hrs
  • Esports Program/Camp Lead: $20/hr

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • After school / evenings on weekdays
  • Weekends as needed
