Job Title: CONFIGURATION SPECIALIST

Reports to: VP Engineering

Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

Wage: Salaried/Exempt

The actual pay may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Location: On-site in Woodinville, Washington

Position Summary:

The Configuration Specialist is responsible for managing all day-to-day Configuration Management (CM) activities at Dynon. Supporting the engineering and manufacturing teams, this role ensures efficient processing of all change requests using established CM processes and verifies that each change request contains accurate and complete information.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Update and create Change Orders within the Configuration Management processes and tools.
  • Oversee configurations for Bills of Materials (BOM) (components, materials, software, and hardware) specific to manufactured electronic products.
  • Facilitate New Product Introduction (NPI) and manage component and assembly specification documentation.
  • Identify and coordinate processes for version management, archiving, and change management.
  • Identify, organize, and control software and hardware configuration changes, ensuring adherence to CM principles.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders and communicate clearly with various levels within the organization in a timely manner.
  • Document processes and procedures to maintain accurate records.
  • Support and facilitate auditing and reporting activities related to CM.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:

  • Experience in configuration management, preferably within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of CM principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with CM tools and MRP software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Combination of 4+ years of education and experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally allowed to work in the United States.
