NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – 1:1 Spanish Bilingual Aide

Are you fluent in Spanish and looking to make a difference in the classroom?

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a Spanish bilingual aide for a New Brunswick School District for the remainder of 2024 – 2025 school year. The position will be a 1:1 assignment, working directly with a student of special needs and assisting the student with daily skills and academics.

 

Hours/Schedule

 

Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 3:35pm

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students

• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class

• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials

• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, and on field trips

• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans

• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Requirements

 

· Spanish Bilingual

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Excellent communication skills

· Experience working with children preferred.

· Experience with 1-1 care a plus

· Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.

 

Qualification Requirements

 

• High School Diploma with ETS Parapro Assessment (Minimum Score of 456 or Higher); or

An Associate’s (or higher) Degree; or Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher learning (60 College Credit Minimum)
