Role
Performs analyses and assists in recommendations on a variety of treasury activities including, but not limited to, internal investment activity, external investments, cash management, and investor relations. Assists in the development of funding and investment strategies for corporate assets (including benefits programs), prepares materials for external security analysts, conducts lease versus buy analyses, monitors company's cost of capital, etc.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily market monitoring which includes bond market offerings, obtaining market price ranges, calculating yield curve shifts for both the government and municipal bond markets as well as obtaining current market bids to ensure proper bond evaluations.
- Executes trades at the best negotiated price based on approved market strategy.
- Assist in the development of interest rate projections and other planning. Prepare various analysis and reports for management. Also, assist with cash flow projection analysis and test portfolios for compliance with policy.
- Analyze new investment alternatives for risk/return and the potential application to our short term bond portfolios.
- Develop portfolio management reports and models for yield curve analysis, analyze spreadsheets and recommend strategies.
- Price bond portfolios and compare outside pricing service to internal pricing matrix, as well as obtain current market bids to ensure proper bond evaluations.
- Calculate and compare performance for internal and external management.
- Participate as a project team member on required project management teams
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
EXPERIENCE
Two to Five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or other related fields, or more than 5-years' experience in a similar role. CPA or CFA a plus
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
OTHER SKILLS
Ability to break complex directions into workable task and execute with minimal direction. Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise. This position may be eligible for remote work.

Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
