Job Title: Bilingual Mandarin Direct Support Professional

Location: Middle Island, NY (Smithtown, NY)

Pay: $17.85-$21.42

Schedule: Full-Time: 230pm-1030pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is bilingual in Mandarin and English to support individuals with developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will assist individuals with their daily living activities, foster their independence, and help them achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

·       Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.

·       Encourage and support individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions.

·       Document and report on the individual’s progress and daily activities.

·       Communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English with individuals, their families, and team members.

·       Maintain a safe and supportive environment while promoting dignity and respect for each individual.

·       Implement personalized care plans and work with a team to achieve individual goals.

Qualifications:

·       Bilingual in Mandarin and English (required).

·       Valid NY Drivers License (required).

·       Previous experience in direct care, human services, or related field (preferred).

·       Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong desire to help others.

·       Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

·       Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and supporting individuals as needed.
