Join Our Team as a School SLP in Franklin Park, IL

Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for you to work in a structured special education self-contained classroom for K-5 students with autism spectrum disorders. This full-time position (37.5 hours/week) offers a supportive environment and the chance to co-teach using innovative communication strategies.

Position Highlights:

  • Classroom: Structured special education self-contained
  • Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract Duration: ASAP - May 23, 2025
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive compensation

Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach with the classroom teacher to support language development
  • Implement the Total Language Communication model using various tools (gestures, visuals, AAC)
  • Assess student progress and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance communication skills in students

Qualifications:

  • PEL Certification required
  • Illinois SLP License with CCC
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorders preferred
