Shive-Hattery has an opening for an Environmental Compliance Specialist with 5+ years of experience with air permitting, compliance reporting and air dispersion modeling to join our Environmental Group. We are looking for someone who is passion oriented to provide outstanding client service

  • Complete and provide supporting calculations for EPA Toxic Release Inventory reports.
  • Development of permitting strategies to allow desired flexibility for facility.
  • Development of compliance tracking forms to assist client with compliance.
  • Compiling and submitting air permit applications.
Requirements:


  • Ability to provide air quality consultation to Industrial, Government, Healthcare, Education, and others as needed.
  • Ability to compile applications for construction, operating, and Title V permits.
  • Ability to complete mandatory greenhouse gas reporting and preparation of Greenhouse Gas Monitoring Plans.
  • Ability to develop strategies for resolution of unique compliance situations.
  • Ability to calculate and document actual and potential emissions from point sources.
  • Experience with background calculations to complete Tier 2 reports.
  • Experience with determination of applicability and implications for permitting and compliance requirements for affected units.
  • Ability to coordinate communication between regulated industries, consultants, and local, state, and federal agencies throughout the permitting process.
  • Experience with client education throughout the permitting process and in compliance situations.
  • Passion to continuously learn about the best practices in the industry to stay abreast of new regulations and requirements to this industry.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Experience with management of projects and passion to mentor other environmental compliance specialists.
