Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. Operate X-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissues as directed by physicians or other medical professionals.

2. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.

3. Review and assess images for quality and completeness, ensuring they meet

diagnostic standards.

4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient information, and

imaging results.

5. Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients,

staff, and self.

6. Sterilize and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order and reporting any malfunctions or issues.

7. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

8. Adhere to healthcare regulations, guidelines, and institutional policies, including infection control and patient confidentiality standards.

9. Complies with all policies and procedures of the practice.

10. Completes all other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education:

· Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

· Current certification and registration with ARRT.

· Valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist.

 

Experience:

• Proven experience in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting.

· Additional certifications or training in specialized imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI) is a plus.

· Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations.

 

Knowledge:

· Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, anatomy, and patient positioning.

· Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.

 

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

• Skills in problem solving and exercising sound judgment.

· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

 

Abilities:

• Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.

• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Ability to communicate clearly.

• Ability to work with little supervision.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, other healthcare professionals, and the public.

 

Working Conditions:

· Possible exposure to radiation; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.

 

Physical/Mental Demands:

· May require standing for extended periods and handling heavy equipment.
