We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with experience in operating a Protek Flatbed Laser Cutting machine to join our team in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC operations, precision cutting, and experience working with aerospace-grade materials. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in our production process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Operate and maintain the Protek Flatbed Laser Cutting machine to produce high-quality parts according to specified tolerances and dimensions.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure precise manufacturing of components.

• Set up the CNC machine, including loading materials, selecting appropriate laser settings, and adjusting controls for optimal cutting performance.

• Monitor the cutting process and make real-time adjustments to ensure the highest level of accuracy and minimal waste.

• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the laser cutting equipment to ensure smooth operation and reduce downtime.

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and industry standards, making any necessary corrections or adjustments.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.

• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.

 

Requirements:

 

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator, specifically with flatbed laser cutting machines (Protek experience preferred).

• Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality control.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make real-time adjustments to equipment settings.

• Experience in the aerospace industry or working with aerospace-grade materials is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

• Ability to lift and move materials as needed, up to 50 lbs.

• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines.

 

Education and Experience:

 

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in CNC operation or a related field is a plus.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, preferably in the aerospace industry.
