Marketing Coordinator

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for supporting and executing marketing strategies aimed at promoting our produce products and expanding market presence. This role involves managing marketing campaigns, coordinating promotional activities, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with internal teams to drive brand awareness and sales growth within the produce sector.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Certification / License:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Current drivers’ license.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the food or produce industry.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social media management tools).
Special Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Bilingual - English & Spanish (Preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers, build rapport, and convey enthusiasm for our
products and services.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Knowledge of the produce industry and market trends preferred.
- Creative mindset with a passion for marketing and branding.
- Learn to resolve customer complaints rapidly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities, and meet deadlines.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Campaign Management:
o Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote produce products.
o Coordinate with creative teams to produce marketing materials, including print, digital, and social media content.
o Track campaign performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Market Research and Analysis:
o Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
o Analyze sales data and market reports to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
Content Creation:
o Develop and manage content for various marketing channels, including website, social media, newsletters, and trade publications.
o Ensure content aligns with brand messaging and resonates with target audiences.
Event Coordination:
o Plan and execute promotional events, trade shows, and in-store promotions.
o Coordinate logistics, manage vendor relationships, and oversee event setup and follow-up.
Social Media Management:
o Manage social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries.
o Track social media performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
Customer and Partner Relations:
o Develop and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and retail partners.
o Assist in organizing and executing customer outreach and relationship-building initiatives.
Sales Support:
o Provide marketing support to the sales team, including developing sales collateral and training materials.
o Assist in tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of sales promotions and incentives.
Administrative Duties:
o Maintain marketing databases and track marketing expenses.
o Prepare regular reports on marketing activities and outcomes for management review.
- Follow all safety procedures/guidelines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report employee accidents, safety hazards, equipment and quality issues promptly.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) as needed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned or requested.
