Courier Supervisor

The Sacramento Courier Supervisor will manage the courier staff, including but not limited to hiring, scheduling, training & dispatching to accommodate pharmacy operations within a 24-hour healthcare business environment. Additionally, support pharmacy operations by handling, packaging, and delivering radiopharmaceuticals within regulatory guidelines to authorized recipients, such as hospitals, imaging facilities & healthcare clinics.

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm M-F, occasional weekends as needed

What are the Responsibilities of a Courier Supervisor?

· Assures the pharmacy is adequately staffed with trained couriers in accordance with company requirements and to meet customer needs.

· Develop courier objectives, communicate expectations, and implement training and development plans for the courier staff.

· Dispatch couriers for deliveries based on customer need.

· Manage fleet operations, including vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, licensing, recalls, and tolls for delivery vehicles.

· Supervise and/or handle, package, and deliver radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with all regulations and company policies.

· Supervise and/or process prepared products by wrapping and placing them into the proper delivery containers, preparing shipping paperwork and labels.

· Supervise and/or process returned medical waste and maintain returned unusable supplies in compliance with all regulations and company policies.

· Supervise and/or assist in the disposal and related paperwork of bio-hazardous waste.

· Other responsibilities and duties as needed.

What Experiences and Education Do I Need to Bring To RLS?

· Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner, both with their staff, co-workers & external customers.

· Previous work experience as a courier and/or one year in a supervisory position.

· Willingness to work on an on-call basis, with the expectation that you can arrive at the pharmacy within 45 minutes.

· Must be able to lift 25-50lbs regularly, occasionally 70lbs

· Working knowledge of DOT, NRC, and OSHA regulations.

· Comfortable with basic computer operations.
