Bedford Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Cook to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY

Who We Are

The Allure Group is a consortium of six rehabilitation centers across Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY, specializing in post-acute and sub-acute skilled nursing and rehabilitation. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care for patients of all ages and conditions while upholding an environment of kindness, dignity, and respect for employees and residents. As a Cook at The Allure Group, you would be part of a winning team doing meaningful work to improve residents' quality of life, health, and comfort.

Cook Responsibilities

●        Prepare food in quantities according to the menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served

●        Comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care, safety, and sanitation standards

●        Monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers

●        Inspect special dietary restrictions of residents to assure that the correct diet is served to residents

●        Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services

●        Ensure that food and supplies for meals are readily available

●        Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary

Cook Requirements

●        High school diploma or its equivalent

●        Knowledge of dietary procedures

●        COVID-19 Vaccination

Preferred

●        At least one-year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or another related medical facility
