Academic Tutor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Academic Tutor to join our team at THERAPY AND WELLNESS CONNECTION, LLC. As an Academic Tutor, you will be responsible for providing academic and behavioral support to a student during the school day, 5 days per week within a private school environment. The successful candidate will be able to create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student success.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with students with learning differences or disabilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support to a student in various subjects throughout the school day.
• Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to meet the individual needs of the student
• Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, and study skills
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress

Skills:

As an Academic Tutor, you will also use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will work under the oversight of an off site Intervention Specialist. Additionally, you will use your organizational and time management skills to maintain accurate records of student progress.
