SUMMARY OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Summary: The CNC Programmer at Allied Stone is responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to ensure efficient and precise stone cutting, shaping, and finishing operations. This role involves collaborating with the Production Manager and R&D to develop CNC programs, optimizing productivity and quality, conducting testing and troubleshooting, and maintaining adherence to safety standards.

- Program and set up CNC machines for stone cutting, shaping, and finishing operations.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and R&D to develop CNC programs that align with production requirements and quality standards.
- Optimize CNC programs to enhance productivity, minimize material waste, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular testing and troubleshooting of CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the production team to interpret design specifications and translate them into CNC programs.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance CNC programming efficiency and overall production outcomes.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on CNC machinery and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and upgrades.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure CNC-produced components meet specifications and quality standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements in CNC programming relevant to stone manufacturing.
- Adhere to safety regulations and standards while operating CNC machinery.
Knowledge:
- Proficiency in the operation and operator-level maintenance of manufacturing machinery.
- Understanding of Computer Aided Drafting Software.
- Knowledge of quality control processes in a manufacturing setting.
Skills:
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
- Troubleshooting skills for identifying and addressing machine issues promptly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into CNC programs.
- Ability to optimize CNC programs for productivity and quality.

Work Environment: The work environment in the stone manufacturing industry may involve exposure to dust, noise, and various weather conditions. The employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots.
