Chemical Formulator

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJAN Resources, a leading chemical manufacturer and supplier in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a qualified Product Development Manager - Chemical Formulator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will spearhead the development of new chemical formulations and enhance existing products, driving innovation and compliance within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of innovative technical solutions for oil and gas chemical production, including flowback control aids, paraffin and asphaltene dispersants, drilling fluid formulations, emulsifiers, demulsifiers, and pour point depressants.

- Create and present technical presentations for the Research and Development Department.

- Safeguard the company’s intellectual property and proprietary technologies.

- Oversee product formulation from development to commercialization, ensuring adherence to company, industry, and regulatory standards.

- Establish guidelines for the acceptance and testing of chemical raw materials in finished blends.

- Evaluate raw materials and develop specifications for new or reformulated products.

- Create and manage project timelines in alignment with marketing priorities, setting milestones and ensuring timely completion.

- Operate within the company’s Quality Management System.

- Contribute to team-driven initiatives for ongoing production improvements and new product development projects.

- Foster a positive, can-do attitude within the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Chemistry or related field

- Experience in the Energy Services and Utilities industry

- Experience with product development and commercialization

- Experience with process optimization and scale-up

- Experience with statistical analysis and design of experiments
