As a Cyber Security Architect, you will focus on supporting our engineering teams with driving security by design principles into our product development lifecycle. You will also be responsible for leading security risk assessments and assisting teams with formulating remediation plans for discovered vulnerabilities.

In this pivotal role you ensure that our products are secure by design and remain resilient against evolving cybersecurity threats.

What You’ll Do:


  • Lead security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for SaaS platforms, IoT devices and associated software and firmware
  • Support security incident response and remediation efforts for all ORBCOMM offerings
  • Design and implement security controls and countermeasures to protect IoT products from threats
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into product design and development
  • Collaborate with corporate IT cross-function to ensure product compliance with applicable ORBCOMM processes and policies
  • Support security compliance and certification efforts for ORBCOMM offerings
  • Collaborate with Data Privacy Officer to ensure product compliance with ORBCOMM data privacy policy
  • Stay abreast of the latest security trends and technologies in the IoT space

Who You Are:


You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:


  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field
  • ISC2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification required
  • Proven experience with embedded hardware or/ embedded software development required. Experience with IoT systems a plus
  • Proven experience with AWS, OCI, or equivalent cloud platform security a plus
  • Experience with industry cybersecurity compliance standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, SOC2 Type I/Type II or equivalent
  • Proficiency in security software tools and encryption technologies
  • Strong knowledge of IoT and industrial security frameworks and best practices
  • Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
