Position Overview:

As a Controls Engineer, you will oversee the design, construction, implementation, and commissioning of control systems for automated solutions. Your role will involve collaboration with other team members to ensure seamless integration and functionality of automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be expected to:

  • Lead the design of control systems, including:
    • System functionality and process flow development
    • Electrical system design
    • Bill of Materials (BOM) generation
    • Schematic generation
  • Build and assemble electrical panels and control system components
  • Develop and implement machine control and PLC code
  • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure seamless operation
  • Manage project timelines to ensure on-time delivery to both internal and external customers
  • Generate and review documentation, including operation manuals, methods, equipment, and procedures

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, structured text, and/or ladder logic
  • Advanced computer knowledge
  • Vision system programming and implementation
  • Robot system design, programming and implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in motion control systems and programming
  • Familiarity with high-speed measurement systems and precision automation and robotics
  • Strong documentation and project management skills
