Job Summary:


As a Belt Technician at Belt Power, LLC., you will perform a variety of duties to customize heavy duty belts and rubber components to the customer specification either in-house or at a customer site.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Build / repair belts and conveyor belt components

  • Install and vulcanize lightweight and heavyweight conveyor belting.

  • Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area, follows sales orders.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.

  • Perform duties to fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting and systems.

  • Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment

  • Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions.

  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Always represent Belt Power in a professional manner

  • Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

  • Other duties as assigned.

Belt Shop Fabricator - Belt Technician Requirements:

  • Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail

  • Strong mechanical background

  • The ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure.

  • Basic math skills and computer skills

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Adapt to changing situations

  • Strong communication skills written and verbal

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, as well as ability to work at heights and tight spaces

  • Overtime hours and weekend work may be required

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

  • High school diploma or equivalent education

Job Requirements:

  • Work is physically strenuous, and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 75-100 pounds

  • Work may require excessive bending or stooping

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required

  • May involve travel

  • Employee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform the job

  • Employee required to climb ladders

  • Employee required to use hand tools

  • Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift)

  • Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules

  • Employee required to calibrate precise measurements

  • Employee required to problem solve

Desired characteristics:

  • Ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and systems

  • Maintenance, belt tech experience preferred

Work Environment:


Work is generally performed in a fabrication shop environment. The noise level is moderately loud. Generally well-ventilated and well lit. Shop employees may be required to wear protective clothing. Operation of heavy equipment and strict safety regulations are required.

Physical Demands:

The Belt Technician may lift and / or move up to 75 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and / or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, install, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time position in a shop. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend work.



Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
