Flexo/Die Cutter Operator Position

NexGen Container is seeking an experienced Flexo Folder Gluer/Die Cutter Operator with at least two years’ experience operating a machine. We are looking for someone who is energetic and can lead a crew safely and respectfully to reach our daily production goals.

You will have an opportunity to learn about and work on our flexo folder gluer, die cutter, wax cascader, and laminating equipment. If you have always wanted to learn about corrugated machinery, then now is your chance. For anyone who already possesses that knowledge, that experience is highly valuable. A strong work ethic, punctuality and attention to detail are essential. This can be a rewarding career for the right person, with plenty of opportunity for upward mobility.

 

Job Responsibilities

Machine Operators take care of all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, setting up orders and optimizing the machines capabilities to get the most efficient production as possible. They need to ensure the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks throughout the order. Operators should understand the operations of their machine center and be willing to coach, train, and mentor new operators. Operators are required to document daily production and waste and turn in paperwork to their supervisor daily. Machine operators job duties are in addition to General Labor job duties.

 

Job Skills & Qualifications

·  Min. two years Flexo/Die Cutter operating experience

·  Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks

·  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

·  Understanding of and willingness to abide by all safety protocols

·  Ability to pass a drug/background check

·  Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines

·  Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety

·  Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers

·  Positive attitude and work ethic

·  Able to work independently or as an active member of a team

·  Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

·  Ability to lead a crew to maximize quality production

 

Education & Experience

·  High school education or equivalent

·  Ability to safely operate equipment

·  2 years Previous experience Minimum
