IT Inventory Asset Management

DUTIES:

Essential duties for the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Manage and oversee the company's IT inventory, including hardware and software assets.
  2. Develop and implement inventory control procedures and policies.
  3. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory records.
  4. Coordinate with various departments to track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
  5. Receiving devices
  6. Unpacking devices
  7. Image loading
  8. Device Deployments: Receipt, depot and deployment of hardware and software.
  9. Hardware Refresh: Replacing out of warranty laptops and desktops (on a 3-to-4-year scheduled rotation). Subject to project IMAC definitions.
  10. Soft-asset disposal (single wipe)
  11. Stacking at identified locations
  12. Shipping to other locations
  13. Handing devices over to users
  14. Hardware Reclaims: Reclaim hardware from users who are no longer with company (usually managed via Service Requests)
  15. Software Requests: User requests for incremental desktop software (usually managed via Service Requests)
  16. Asset coordination functions such as managing an inventory, review asset CB for accuracy, asset audits, and asset reporting in CMDB.
