Cyber Security Specialist

SecureSky offers services that lower cyber risk and streamline security threat detection and response.
This position is a full-time permanent position in our Omaha, Nebraska office.
The successful candidate will provide exposure and threat analysis to clients to prevent and mitigate cyber attacks and will contribute to building on SecureSky’s proprietary methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to security alerts.
- Threat and exposure hunting.
- Determining risk based on the threat landscape, user actions and other XDR-based indicators, threat intelligence signals, and knowledge of client environments.
- Developing SIEM and CTEM (Continuous Threat Exposure Management) content and processes to apply across SecureSky clients.
- Advancing one or more SecureSky consulting practice areas, for example, XDR (security control and policy development), security automation, or vulnerability management.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Skills and experiences that would be beneficial for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a concentration or substantial coursework in cybersecurity.
- Understanding of common cybersecurity attack vectors, threat intelligence parameters, and security technologies.
- One to three years of practical experience in threat investigations, incident response, and/or deployment of XDR tools.
- Strong verbal and written skills for effective client communications and internal documentation, with a desire to closely interact with clients.
