Electrical Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Detailing: Develop control and electrical schemes for material handling systems, including panel layouts and schematics.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers to turn concepts into reality by preparing detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
  • Field Support: Participate in the installation and troubleshooting of systems at customer facilities, with up to 25% travel (including extra PTO for weekend work).
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in R&D and process enhancement initiatives to keep systems at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering OR Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (programming and designing electrical systems).
  • Experience: Exposure to AutoCAD Electrical and Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs. New grads with hands-on experience are welcome
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a customer-facing personality.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer installs.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite
  • Experience with material handling equipment
  • Panel building experience
  • PLC, RFID, and proximity switch knowledge
