Ultimate Pest Control provides compliant international bio-security treatments for Import/Export goods to the Global Maritime Community. As an International Pest Control Technician, you will be offered the unique opportunity to conduct treatments to products from around the world that arrive or depart from our Seaports. The skill sets you can expect to utilize or acquire in this occupation include: International Maritime Trade Transport, Geography, Pest Elimination, Agriculture, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Software, and more.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Prior Industry Experience is not required

High School Diploma or equivalent education or higher

Work a minimum of 40 hours a week

Possess a valid Driver’s License reflecting a clean driving record

Conduct a Toxicology Screening to obtain a “negative result” for illicit drugs

Possess credentials to obtain a TWIC Card (company paid)

Capable of manual labor

Ability to obtain the required Treatment Credentials within 90 days of employment (company paid)

Possess the potential to secure a Class C CDL reflecting a Hazardous Materials Endorsement within nine months. Applicants under the age of 21 will be granted more time to attain. (company paid)

Ability to accept and utilize regular outfitting’s in a SCBA & Respirator

Capable of submitting to regular Respirator Fitting Examinations. (company paid)

Flexibility to work nights and/or weekends as needed

Willingness to agree to on-call scenarios during evenings when needed

Allow a Criminal Background check (company paid)

Allow a Hazardous Materials Background Check (company paid)

Allow a Driving Background Check (company paid)

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Proficient use of Microsoft Office & Google Drive and basic computer functions

Two years of pesticide application experience and/or Fumigation Treatment experience

Possess a CDL carrying any endorsement

Binding CDL Defensive Driver Training

Binding Hazmat Training

Chemistry background

Agricultural background

International Logistics background

Honorably Discharged Armed Forces Members

 

Treatment Applicator and/or Treatment Technician Duty Requirements

Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's instructions and weight capacity

Walking and/or standing during most of your daily duties

Requires normal hearing and vision

Lift and carry 70 lbs.

Capable to work independently

Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, pushing, pulling, crouch, or crawl

Working Conditions include cold/hot conditions, confined spaces, dusty locations, and dim areas

Commit to duties for a minimum of 40 hours a week

Work weekends as needed

Willingness to be on-call for evening shifts as necessary

Possible travel required, including occasional overnights between Florida and South Carolina region

Functions & Duties

Assist in treatment applications such as setting up and breaking down tented enclosures

Utilize appropriate PPE, including inspections and maintenance

Analyze and review information regarding regulations, company policies and procedures regularly

Handling and use of Hazardous Materials while understanding how to apply in accordance with their labels

Mix and/or apply chemical in accordance with the label

Submit and accurately document all Records of Treatments into the office

Properly use and understand information outlined in an SDS

Adhere to all Federal, State and local laws within the labels of the pesticides being applied

Understanding the framework of an FMP to complete for treatment locations, display for documents in proper areas, and furnish to the appropriate parties and/or authorities

Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment including clearing devices

Conducting proper inspections to our customers facilities or consignments

Capable of pest identification toward most of the common insects you will encounter in the field

providing treatments

Direct and carry out an integrated pest management solution with team members when necessary

Regular maintenance to applicator equipment and Pesticide Storage Areas

Correct malfunctions with treatment equipment

Perform regularly Hazardous Materials Inventories

Operate a company vehicle while with or without a trailer attached

Conducting proper vehicle inspections for Hazardous Materials transport

Maintaining clean company vehicles and ensure they are safe and in proper working conditions

Use Microsoft and Google software as well as navigate in third party cloud-based applications and industry specific programs

Perform other duties assigned by management outside of pesticide treatments and maintenance
