Job DescriptionJob Description

JOB SUMMARY - Under general supervision our Installers performs a full range of duties that include, but are not limited to, installation, inspection, diagnose, repair and maintenance of doors, loading dock equipment and any related warehouse equipment, some electrical, mechanical, welding, fabrication and industrial maintenance may be necessary, communicate well with customers, vendors, company peers, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Follow all safety procedures in performing work, as well as company’s policies.

2. Able to work independently, but in a team environment.

3. Able to manage time effectively.

4. Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time (driving)

5. Needs to move about a customer job-site to access equipment.

6. Constantly operates machinery such as: cell phones, cordless drill, hammer, screw drivers and other like tools.

7. Will ascend and descend a ladder and other lift equipment to install, troubleshoot and repair customer equipment.

8. Constantly positions self to install, troubleshoot and repair customer equipment.

9. Frequently communicates by phone, email, text or in person.  Must be able to exchange accurate information.

10. Must be able to detect, inspect and reasonably asses when installing, troubleshooting and repairing customer equipment.

11. Frequently will move equipment and/or tools up to 75lbs to/from company vehicle and customer jobsites.

12. Will frequently work in outdoor weather conditions or inside, a customer jobsite where safety equipment must be worn.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -A minimum of 2 year’s experience in repair and maintenance of doors, loading dock equipment and related warehouse equipment.  Strong work history and positive reference from former employers.  Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven, service environment.  Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance background desirable.  Follows all safety procedures in performing work, as well as company policies.  Able to work independently, but in a team environment.  Able to manage time effectively, as well as complete service reports.  Communicate well with customers, vendors, company peers and management, etc.  Must have valid drivers’ license and clean driving record.  Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug test.
