We provide a platform for artists, storytellers, and enthusiasts to connect, collaborate, and develop innovative work. In our next phase, we are launching a mobile app that allows creators to showcase their progress while building an audience around their work.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Full Stack Developer (with strong proficiency in Python, Django, React, and React Native) to help us deliver the first version of our Project City mobile app, on iOS and Android. In this role, you will focus on implementing key features and ensuring a seamless user experience as we prepare to launch. You’ll work closely with the founders to bring the product vision to life by contributing to both mobile app and web app components.

This is a contract-based role with a quick turnaround, centered around delivering the app’s core functionality. However, there is potential for a longer term partnership as we continue to grow the platform.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by helping us bring the first version of our app to market and set the foundation for future development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate to understand, contribute to and execute product requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain both mobile and web applications using Django, React, React Native and Expo.
  • Work with third-party services, particularly Stripe, to ensure seamless payment integration.
  • Build and optimize APIs to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces optimized for various devices.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and stability through efficient coding practices.
  • Occasionally work with the design team to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Help maintain and document technical systems to ensure long-term scalability and code integrity.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Developer, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Django, React, and React Native.
  • Experience with Stripe payment gateway integration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, for infrastructure management.
  • Extensive experience with scalable user-generated video content on mobile and web platforms.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across different time zones and cultures.
