Controls Engineer – TIA Portal with Ford Powertrain Experience

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer specializing in TIA Portal and Ford Powertrain systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, programming, and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PLC programming solutions using TIA Portal to meet project specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Ford Powertrain standards into automation systems.
  • Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Optimize HMI (Human-Machine Interface) designs for enhanced operator usability and functionality.
  • Develop and execute control logic, ensuring seamless communication between devices and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of control systems, ensuring compliance with industry and client standards.
  • Create detailed documentation, including wiring diagrams, system manuals, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in TIA Portal and Siemens PLC programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Ford Powertrain processes and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, including HMI development, SCADA systems, and field devices.
  • Familiarity with industrial networks (e.g., PROFINET, Ethernet/IP).
  • Proven ability to work with control panels, including wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external clients.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in automotive manufacturing or related industries.
  • Experience with robotics systems integration.
  • Knowledge of Ford MES systems and compliance standards.
