Social Worker

What to know:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations for children and foster parents
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
  • Maintain detailed case files for children, foster families, and biological families, ensuring compliance with state regulations
  • Visit children weekly and foster families monthly (or as needed)
  • Recruit, screen, and monitor foster homes for safety and compliance
  • Facilitate training sessions for foster parents and caregivers
  • Provide transportation for children to visits, appointments, and school
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field (master’s preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children and families in social work or case management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate clinical record systems
  • Candidates must pass background checks and stay current on required trainings
  • Access to a vehicle – Must have daily access to an automobile for home and community visits
  • Massachusetts Social Work License preferred, not required
