Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play an important role in all phases occupational therapy treatment programs for residents in a variety of settings according to accepted Occupational Therapy practices and principles and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a way that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:
- Under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, initiate individual occupational therapy treatment plan for residents in a variety of settings.
- Deliver occupational therapy treatments and modalities per physician's orders.
- Plan occupational therapy services within each patient's capabilities as indicated.
- Review daily schedule of patient treatment with assignment of new residents and/or treatment.
- Maintain records and submit documentation timely.
- Complete discharge summary timely and accurately.
- Work successfully as part of a team and be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with coworkers.
What you'll bring:
- Requires current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Texas.
- One year related experience.
- Prior related experience or training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy.
- Experience with aging population.
- Age 21 with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record so you can be insured on the Buckner insurance and travel within the campus to provide services.
