AAC is looking to bring a Sr. Data Engineer onto our team to support a federal contracting client.

This position will work remotely in the Greater Dallas Area with the ability to go onsite to their two data centers on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/Maintain PowerShell scripts that move data between different source types.
  • Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Dataverse or Azure/AWS or SQL technologies
  • Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer needs.
  • Working with stakeholders including data, design, product, and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
  • Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
  • Provide onsite troubleshooting support within local datacenters in the Richardson, TX area.

 

Skill Sets Anticipated:

• 10 years’ experience with the following technologies/tools: software development / engineering; and automation technologies

• SSRS and Power Bi report design

• Database and Dataverse design

• Experience with PowerShell scripting and IDE.

• Traditional SQL query writing

• Demonstrated, senior level experience translating business processes into automated software solutions.

• Knowledge of the SCSM and DWDatamart databases

• Knowledge of relational database design and query concepts.

• Ability to plan, organize, and keep up with multiple projects and multiple project deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Strong oral and written communications.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Knowledge of how software works in a production and test environment and how to structure and organize product deliverables.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team building.

• Ability to work as part of an integrated team, as well as independently.

• Experience using REST API.

• Ability to adapt to changes in course while maintaining productivity.

• Ability to provide onsite support to remote teams for troubleshooting issues within local datacenters in the Richardson, TX area.

• Ability to check and reseat cables.

• Ability to rack and cable equipment using remote assistance, diagrams, etc…
