Job DescriptionJob Description

We are currently looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Corporate Tax Senior to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for overseeing our corporate tax compliance functions, managing the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring the accuracy of tax provision calculations, and supporting tax planning initiatives.


Responsibilities:


  1. Prepare and review corporate federal and state income tax returns and estimates and ensure timely filing.
  2. Assist in forecasting the corporation's annual tax expenses and can devise strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  3. Oversee tax provision calculations and associated reports in accordance with ASC 740, and provide necessary information to the financial reporting team.
  4. Keep abreast of all changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and inform relevant stakeholders of any key changes that may affect the business.
  5. Assist in tax-related internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  6. Provide strategic advice on tax matters, including tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and other business activities.
  7. Liaise with the corporation's external tax advisors and the internal accounting team frequently.
  8. Assist in the execution of ad-hoc tax-related projects as required.


  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards it is highly preferred.
  3. Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in corporate taxation, preferably within a large corporation or reputed accounting firm.
  4. Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
  5. Solid understanding of GAAP as it pertains to tax accounting.
  6. Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite.
  7. Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly.
  9. Deadline-oriented with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.
