Job Summary:
DPR Construction is looking for a person with knowledge in concrete, framework, mold making and millwork. Great opportunity for hardworking, dedicated, and reliable applicants looking for a company to grow with. We have long-term work in the region and are looking for someone who can grow with the company. Who will be a working lead alongside a team of carpenters creating forms and frames for concrete.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Mentor and help supervise employees and provide suggestions for increased service or productivity for fast-paced growth development and apply DPR’s people practices.
-Work in one or multiple work areas along a production line, building forms and frames for concrete.
- Follow defined procedures and practices in our production process and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Troubleshoot issues with assistance from peers or supervisors.
- Demonstrate teamwork skills and mentor new associates through training.
- Complete quality assurance paperwork as required.
- Notify supervisor of any non-compliance to part and/or product standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and millwork drawings.
- Knowledge and experience with carpentry hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in millwork, finish carpentry, or woodworking in residential or commercial construction.
- At least 5 years working for a manufacturing or construction company is a plus.
- Experience in lean manufacturing is a plus.
- Bilingual prefer English and Spanish
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stretching.
- Use of hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and heat is common.
- Occasional use of cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift-up to 50 pounds at a time.
Full time - Monday - Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm, occasionally OT as needed
