Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will drive innovative product designs from concept through production, with a focus on developing home accessories, laundry, kitchen, and fragrance products. As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with project coordinators, vendors, and other departments to ensure the successful development and timely launch of new products. This role involves market research, trend analysis, and participation in trade shows both domestically and internationally.

Responsible for the day-to-day execution of product design and development of Core and Promotions products from concept through production. You will collaborate with Project Coordinator and Manager of Product Development to ensure highest quality, consumer focused, trend-right product line that build brand equity and meet financial targets. Products focus is on a broad range of home décor accessories and fragrance warmers – specifically 3 – dimensional items, Metal, Ceramic, Resin, Wood, and plush.

Please note: This role focuses exclusively on the design of physical products, not UX/UI or digital design.

Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop product concepts, sketches, and prototypes, managing the art-to-product process, including 3D modeling.

  • Provide clear and concise design direction and notes to guide project coordinators and vendors.

  • Create and design product mock-ups, notes, and flat lay designs for internal review and presentations.

  • Identify new product opportunities based on market needs and consumer trends, particularly in home accessories, laundry, kitchen, and fragrance categories.

  • Oversee the product development process, ensuring timely production to meet launch deadlines.

  • Conduct market research on key fashion and product trends, materials, color schemes, and design styles to generate commercially viable product ideas.

  • Stay informed about competitor products, market innovations, and emerging industry trends.

  • Actively participate in cross-functional team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and reviews.

  • Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, sourcing, and manufacturing, to align design goals with production capabilities.

  • Travel to trade shows in the US, Europe, and Asia to stay informed on supplier capabilities, materials, and design innovations.

  • Contribute to company events, such as reunions and rallies, showcasing new products and assisting with product displays and workshops.

  • Work on product displays, ensuring designs align with the brand’s aesthetics and marketing objectives.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in physical product design and development, preferably in home accessories, fashion, or fragrance.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D rendering software and manufacturing processes for physical products.
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator or other industry-standard design tools for creating high-fidelity mockups.
  • Familiarity with material selection, fabrication techniques, and production methods.
  • Ability to think creatively and entrepreneurially to address evolving business needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working within cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for trade shows and vendor meetings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities quickly to meet tight deadlines.

  • Advanced skills in Adobe and Microsoft application required. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Travel 3-5 times a year.
