Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview:
A leading organization is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead environmental remediation projects. This role involves overseeing complex environmental and property assessments, developing remediation strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multifaceted projects, mitigating environmental risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee environmental remediation projects, including investigations, remedial design, and implementation.
  • Manage compliance with CERCLA, RCRA corrective actions, hazardous waste treatment, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Lead responses to regulatory agencies and third-party inquiries to minimize compliance risks.
  • Supervise remediation efforts for corporate legacy sites, including multi-party cost allocation and responsible party coordination.
  • Negotiate and manage financial assurance obligations for assigned sites.
  • Prepare accurate financial documentation, including budgeting, liability reserves, and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for environmental remediation and related litigation support.
  • Ensure integration of safety, health, and environmental standards into remediation programs.
  • Present technical findings to regulatory agencies, public forums, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience, or a graduate degree with 10 years of experience. Candidates without a degree must have at least 16 years of related experience.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of environmental liability recognition and reporting requirements.
  •  Eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 10% travel for project oversight.
