Information Technology Administrator

AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA is seeking an Information Technology Administrator to join our IT team as a technical expert responsible for maintaining the network, hardware and software systems within our organization and ensuring all systems are up-to date and operating smoothly. Must have a strong technical background and customer service skills to provide technical support to approximately 300 users in a multi-site company, manage and support the IT infrastructure and oversee security to protect data and manage access controls. Although not all inclusive, additional responsibilities, expectations, and skills will include:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, printers, software, and networks.
  • Monitor system and network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Manage and maintain server and software backup systems.
  • Implement and maintain IT process automation.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, and patches.
  • Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on various projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Work outside of regular business hours as needed.
  • Be available for occasional travel to other sites/branches in the United States.

AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the IT Administrator position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma, plus a four-year degree in computer science, Information Technology or similar field and experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, printers, software, and networks.

Other qualifications and attributes include:

  • Certifications in information technologies are a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of network and system administration concepts.
  • Expert knowledge in Windows operating systems and common software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies: VMWare and Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of Cloud services: Office 365, Azure, and AWS
  • Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, VB).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Ability to travel infrequently via vehicle, air, and/or other modes of transportation.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
