Our client seeks a Director of Tax to serve as subject matter expert

This is a full-time direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $150,000, based on your experience. This position is 100% onsite.

To be considered for this Director of Tax position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting for Audit or Tax
  • Related Business Degree for Consulting
  • 8+ years accounting experience
  • CPA required
  • High level of professionalism/integrity
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Desire to continuously take on greater responsibilities

Some of your responsibilities as Director of Tax will include:

  • Recognizing needs and issues pertinent to client activity and follows through to implementation
  • Assisting the partners/managing directors in assuming overall responsibilities in a variety of areas including engagement management &U client service, sales, practice development, marketing, cross selling, discipline &industry expertise, external activities & networking, leadership, people development, strategic business planning and more
  • Continuously develop industry expertise and stay abreast of industry news
  • Assisting partners/managing directors in planning business strategies in discipline or industry
  • Contributing to staff development
  • Building client relationships; maintaining smooth working relationship with clients and solicits client input on satisfaction
  • Participating in client related planning
  • Communicating technical material to clients
  • Maintaining designated chargeable hours for the year
  • Maintaining effective realization rates of fees
  • Assisting partners/managing directors in managing effective billing and collections
  • Being actively involved in community, social, business and professional organizations
  • Participating in mentoring, training, recruiting, retention and team-building activities
  • Assisting partners/managing directors in managing administrative activity
  • Other duties as assigned
