CNC Programmer

We are currently looking for a CNC Programmer to start as soon as possible This is an opportunity to work with very unique and cool products in the metal industry, with great work culture as well. The shift is 6 am-2:30 pm Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities. Please apply if you meet the qualifications below and are capable of the responsibilities.

Qualifications:

· 6+ years of experience working within a manufacturing machine programmer position

· Able to do machine setups

· Able to program in G&M code and troubleshoot machines

· Able to read blueprints

· Experience with GD&T and able to decipher GD&T speculations

· Able to read and use inspection tools (Micrometers, calibers, etc.)

· Experience in CAM software and Solidworks

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and write CNC programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency.

2. Utilize drawings or CAD models to support program development.

3. Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.

4. Programs lathes and mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation; calculating programs using necessary geometry and trigonometry skills.

5. Maintains quality of tooling produced by observing and measuring all cutting actions.

6. Replace and maintain all cutting tools as needed.

7. Make all adjustments to programs and tooling as needed.

8. Assists in the development of new processes, tooling, as well as makes recommendations for process improvements.
