Memorial Hospital Therapy & Sports Rehab center is expanding employment opportunities and adding another Per Diem Physical Therapist to work 8-16 hours a week for out-patient clinic. Cover in-patient when other staff are off. The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing a full range of physical therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the positions qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. The incumbent shall be accountable for carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with hospital values.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a four year bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent), and hold an applicable and current license to practice. Education/experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is preferred. Education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is preferred. Computer and current technology competence.
Licensure: Licensed or eligible for license in the State of Illinois. Drivers License to travel between locations: hospital, clinic and as needed: nursing home facility.
Physical Demands: Position requires walking, sitting, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, carrying, transferring, and lifting (including patients). Palpation skills, keen observation skills, depth perception, color distinction, sense of smell, and manual dexterity are also required. Position requires some mental and stressful work. Employee will participate in lifting training at orientation and at refresher lifting training programs. Employee will demonstrate proper lifting mechanics/techniques as required for their position.
