Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a pediatric occupational therapist to provide services to children from one to twenty-one years. Our ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help clients and families and improve their daily lives. As an occupational therapist, you will assess patients' conditions, needs, and goals to establish effective therapy and treatment plans. You will carry out treatment plans with direct intervention while consistently communicating with patients and their families/caregivers while being compassionate and sensitive to a patient's concerns.

New graduates are welcome to apply and participate in on-site mentorship

Occupational Therapist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review the patient's medical history
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment plans with evidence-based approaches
  • Record patient needs, activities, and progress through daily notes, progress notes, etc.
  • Continually collaborate with the client and caregiver for increased carryover of learning
  • Provide additional resources (home exercise plans, outside referrals, etc.) to families as needed
  • Develop a discharge plan once the client has reached their goals

Occupational Therapist Requirements and Qualifications

  • New graduates welcome to apply and participate in on-site mentorship
  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree with a diploma for successful completion of a post-degree program in occupational therapy
  • Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) License and proof of passing the national examination administered by theNational Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy(NBCOT)
  • Continuing education classes for maintenance of certification
  • Meets all state licensure requirements
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to make quick decisions when plans change
  • Creative and innovative thinker and planner
