Job Title: Electrical Estimator
Job Location: Brusly, LA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, OT as needed
Pay Range: $70K-$95K (depending on experience)

Position Summary:
The Estimator part of the Estimator job family is responsible for activities related to cost estimating all the elements of a project including labor (manual and non-manual), materials and permanent equipment, supplies, consumables and expenses, and construction equipment rental and operating costs, contingency, escalation, program risk, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
· Performs quality assurance in project deliverables
· Works with management in development of strategies and plans
· Analyzes estimations to predict key project issues
· Works directly with contractor to resolve technical matters during negotiation and contract execution as needed
· Manages action items
· Prepares crew build-ups and production rate determinations
· Develops Work Breakdown Structures
· Leads Project Team estimate reviews
· Evaluates suitability of scope and executive plan for basis of estimate
· Assists in the development of estimating infrastructure and new methodologies
· Reconciles current project estimate comparisons with previous performance and market benchmark data
· Performs contingency and risk analysis
· Prepares and negotiates change orders
· Reviews final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness
· Delivers estimate presentations to the executive Review Committee
· Manages the preparation of project and discipline Estimate Summaries, Estimate Details and Basis of Estimate
· Supervises junior staff through task development, establishing and maintaining goals and expectations, and documenting performance related issues and achievements
· Complete understanding of all versions of the company estimating software
Qualifications
Education:
· High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in Electrical Estimation
· Proficient with MS Word and Excel software
· Proficiency using industry sanctioned estimating applications and systems
· Working knowledge of planning and scheduling
· Thorough understanding IE cost structure (overheads, G&A, insurances)
· Understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences
· Knowledgeable of the ACCE estimating system
· Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVMS) theory and application
· Ability to effectively communicate with peers, co-workers, clients, customers, and the general public
· Experience in the Commercial and/or Construction Industry is needed
