Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated entry-level CNC machinist to join our team. No experience is required, as we are willing to train enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and grow in precision machining. We are committed to fostering a supportive learning environment and offer to help pay for tuition. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC mills with the appropriate tooling to produce, modify, or repair precision parts. While operating the machine, the CNC Machinist monitors the machinery and machining sequences and conducts regular quality checks to ensure parts are running correctly and produced according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to the success of our products, so the CNC Machinist must pay attention to detail and be focused on their work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Part Production:
•\tMaintain CNC mill and ensure it is in good working order.
•\tWrite and modify simple programs.
•\tRun machine programs as required.
•\tSetup machinery to successfully run parts as specified. Monitor machine operations throughout the cycle, checking that specifications are met.
•\tPerform all necessary CNC mill maintenance and minor repairs.
•\tFollow safety practices at all times.
•\tReport any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately.
•\tKeep work area(s) clean and organized.
•\tObtain work orders from the production spreadsheet.
•\tUnderstand the production list of machines needed to ship.
•\tTake appropriate materials from inventory to make parts.
•\tProvide parts to the assembly department or put them into stock.
•\tWork with Engineering to develop new parts and make prototypes.
•\tWork from complicated drawings and sketches to develop parts.
•\tMaintain tooling inventory and submit timely requisitions to purchase shop supplies including, but not limited to... coolant, bits, and taps.
•\tComplete work orders on time and monitor time expectations.

Computer System:
•\tPerform computer transactions to kit and complete work orders.
•\tMaintain and verify inventory accuracy by participating in cycle counts and adjusting work orders as necessary.
•\tModify “Bobcad” CNC program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements:
•\tMinimum of 0-1 years previous experience.
•\tAbility to understand and interpret drawings.
•\tAbility to use and read measuring instruments.
•\tKnowledge of geometry and basic math.
•\tFamiliarity with properties of metal.
•\tAbility to use excel spread sheet.
•\tExcellent hand-eye coordination.
•\tAdvanced knowledge of power tool usage.
•\tGood written and verbal communication skills
•\tAbility to work independently following general procedures.
•\tAbility to handle multiple tasks.
•\tAbility to operate general office equipment such as telephone, copier, fax, computer, etc.
•\tMust be able to pass background check.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
•\tUse of skills requiring motor coordination with finger dexterity (e.g., keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) during most of a normal workday.
•\tRequired to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds.
•\tRequired to be exposed to a general elevated noise level from machine tools running.
