We are currently seeking a skilled Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team and help us maintain the highest standards of financial management.

Position Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing a team of accountants. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying improvements and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure that all reports comply with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and analyze variances.
  • Manage cash flow and optimize working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
  • Identify areas for process enhancement within the accounting function.
  • Implement best practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
