Radiology Associates of Ocala is looking for a full-time CT Technologist for a dynamic outpatient Imaging Center.

As an CT Technologist you must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging center; have a thorough understanding of all aspects of CT imaging, radiation safety and related patient care; must be available to work day shifts Monday through Friday.

Additionally, you will:

  • Explain process to patient and obtain patient history
  • Position and immobilize patient on examining table using supportive devices
  • Administer or assist Physician in contrast media administration
  • Establish IV access
  • Start CT scanner to scan designated anatomical area of patient
  • Maintain equipment and work area, and maintain adequate supplies

What you will need to be successful:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds including the elderly population
  • Extensive knowledge of X-ray imaging and fluoroscopy procedures and protocols
  • Extensive knowledge of CT imaging procedures and protocols
  • Ability to learn and grow with new technology
  • Customer service skills
  • CPR certification
  • ARRT registered technologist
  • CT advanced certification
  • Florida State Licensure
  • Minimum 1-year related experience

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior X-ray experience
  • Prior CT experience on GE and Phillips scanners
  • General computer and PACS knowledge
