Summary:

Atomica is seeking a Senior-Level Wet Etch Process Engineer to lead our talented team projects. In this role, you will lead the development and optimization of wet etch and cleaning processes for sensors, biotechnology, photonics, and MEMS devices that are at the forefront of technological advancements. You will work closely with managers, equipment engineers and technical design professionals, sharing valuable hands-on experience and skills in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Collaboration among engineers is critical in Atomica's micro-fabrication due to the complexity and interdisciplinary nature of the field. Micro-fabrication involves a range of specialized processes and expertise, from material science to electrical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and Semiconductor Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot wet etch and cleaning processes for MEMS devices substrates.
  • Design and perform experiments and tests to evaluate process parameters, chemical formulations, and equipment performance.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for process improvements and yield enhancement.
  • Monitor and analyze process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and chemical concentrations, to ensure consistent process performance.
  • Implement process control measures and develop process monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to establish and maintain process control documentation.
  • Work closely with equipment engineers to resolve technical issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including directors, managers, integration engineers and designers, to lead project objectives.
  • Communicate experimental findings, results, and recommendations through clear and concise reports and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials, or EE.
  • 3+ years' experience working in a lab handling chemicals.
  • Knowledge of wet etch processes, cleaning chemistry approaches, semiconductor fabrication, or MEMS technologies.
  • Experience of wafer processing in clean room environment.
  • Working with process characterization techniques, such as SEM, profilometry, or ellipsometry, is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, DOE, comprehensive reports and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Compensation:

Engineer II-Senior

$90,000-140,000
