Position Purpose:

To safely provide skilled physical therapy intervention to clients served and to be a productive member of the physical therapy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist, as assigned, in administrative duties and in supervision of physical therapy assistants and support staff and students.
  • Adheres to missions, philosophy, policies and procedures of the facility.
  • Adheres to physical therapy standards of practice and assists in development of annual departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintains active and participatory communication with all members of the treatment team including accurate, thorough and timely documentation.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in all areas of physical therapy and assure professional growth through attendance of available in house in-services and yearly or bi-yearly outside courses.
  • Promotes mission and philosophy of the facility in a positive manner in the community.

Qualifications:

  • Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:
    • Requires a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, philosophy, and the effect of treatment procedures on body function and structure.
    • Knowledge of neuro-developmental treatment and motor control and understanding of neurological dysfunction and its effect on motor performance.
    • To be Proficient in the EMR Welsky within 90 days of hire.
  • Education: Minimum of Bachelors’s degree from an accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Licensure: Current physical therapy license in state of Wisconsin, or application for licensure on case by case basis and CPR certification.
  • Experience: Preferred 1 year experience in neuro-rehabilitation setting will consider graduates with clinical education experience in neuro-rehabilitation.
