Kirkland, Washington - Full Time

THE COOL THINGS YOU WILL BE DOING WITH YOUR TALENTS

As a Senior Applied Physicist in the Advanced Research and Technology Development group at Mitutoyo Research & Development America, Inc. (MRDA), you will follow the latest technology developments through conferences and literature and apply them to dimensional metrology. You will design and test prototype systems in our state-of-the-art facility supported by our electrical and mechanical engineering group as well as our algorithm scientists. Do you have an exciting idea for a novel sensor design? Take a week or two to explore it We provide a low-friction R&D environment with flat organization, no politics and high visibility for our technical staff. You will be the key contributor, document your design and finding in technical reports and contribute expertise to other global development projects.

Occasional travel to Japan will offer you an opportunity to experience a different culture and learn from it.

Passion for technologies, engineering and science and the willingness to step up to solve the toughest technical challenges are key for the success in this role. Equally important are the organizational skills, discipline, and systematic execution of project tasks. Your desire to continuously learn and grow and the ability to build relationships will be crucial.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range is $120,000-$160,000 per year. The successful candidate’s salary will be determined based on job-related experience/ knowledge/ skills, education, and complexity and responsibility of the role. Benefits include 100% paid medical, dental, vision insurance (75% for dependents), 100% paid life and disability insurance, 6% matching 401k, 15 vacation days, 12 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days per year, and eligibility for performance based annual bonus.
