As a Pipe Fitter in the fabrication yard, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. You will work alongside a team of professionals to ensure that all pipe fitting tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Pipe Fitters – Fabrication Yard Responsibilities 

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping specifications to determine layout and assembly of piping systems.
• Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools, and pipe-bending machines.
• Fit, align, and secure pipes using appropriate methods (e.g., welding, bolting, threading, or gluing).
• Test piping systems for leaks and perform any necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure system integrity.
• Collaborate with welders, supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
• Ensure proper handling and installation of valves, fittings, and related components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
• Follow all company and industry safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any issues or discrepancies with materials, equipment, or design to supervisors.
• Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Pipe Fitters – Fabrication Yard Position Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a pipe fitter, preferably in a fabrication yard or similar industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, piping isometrics, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of various pipe materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, etc.) and pipe fitting methods.
• Familiarity with piping systems used in oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, and quality of work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions (outdoor/indoor, heat, cold).
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
