Job Summary:
The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for the finishing and smoothening of concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality, durable finishes for both interior and exterior surfaces. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to shape and smooth concrete for walkways, floors, walls, and other structures, ensuring that all work is performed to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pour, level, and smooth concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
  • Shape and smooth concrete for sidewalks, driveways, floors, ramps, and other structures.
  • Install concrete forms, including wooden or metal forms, to the desired shape and dimensions.
  • Apply finishing touches such as decorative textures, troweling, or polishing.
  • Mix, pour, and finish concrete according to specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure concrete surfaces are uniform, smooth, and free from defects.
  • Check the quality of concrete mixes and make adjustments as needed to ensure proper consistency.
  • Use concrete saws, grinders, and other tools to cut and smooth the surface as necessary.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work closely with supervisors and other construction personnel to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites, including proper disposal of materials.
  • Inspect finished concrete work for proper alignment, surface smoothness, and level.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, trowels, floats, and power equipment (e.g., concrete saws, grinders).
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship in finishing concrete surfaces.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, as well as bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in decorative concrete finishing (stamped, colored, polished).
  • Knowledge of various concrete additives and finishing products.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
